We use industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your information and provide a safe and secure environment for online donations. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

Yes. The ReStory Foundation Trust is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefits Organisation (PBO) with tax-exempt status (section 18A). Your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of South African law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your S.A. taxes, please fill in your full name and contact details where requested when making your donation. We will send through tax certificates in early March each year for the previous tax year. Should you require it earlier, please contact us (admin@restoryfoundation.co.za) and we will be more than happy to oblige.

The ReStory Foundation is overseen by a strong and active diversified Board of Trustees of 7 individuals, with both the range of skills and experience needed to support and grow the work. Our finances are managed by Shirley Holmes and our annual financial statements are independently compiled by Guy Brazier, an experienced chartered accountant. Mandy Pearson, the founder and CEO, has an accounts degree and Economics Master’s degree from Cambridge UK. She has worked in financial services and management consulting in Europe, as well as in senior management at a large South African bank. She is also a self-supporting Anglican minister based at St. Martin's Church, Durban North - a combination of financial skills and integrity. Find out more about these individuals.

The ReStory Foundation takes the sustainability of the organization and the stewardship of funds very seriously. A detailed Sustainability Strategic Plan is available on request. Our focus is on impacting lives on the ground and that is where we direct our funds.
