Trauma offers two options in terms of how we will move on: We can become a Victim or a Victor.

We continually seek to support our children in becoming victors.

Trauma is experienced when something happens that makes an individual feel unsafe, alone, or unable to control what is happening to them.
An event can be experienced as traumatic when all or some of these are at play.

Thursday was international Trauma Day.
We taught lessons to help our children to consider these three things as a means of preventing a traumatic experience.
And we looked at how they could apply them to if they have already suffered trauma.
* what can I do to increase safety?
* who can I speak to about this so I don’t feel alone
* what can I control regarding this?

Perhaps applying these questions to yourselves or your children will be helpful.
We hope they can assist many to prevent traumas, or to recover from the impact of a traumatic event or reality.
